How do I create sliding doors? For cabinets and such?
I am thinking on building kitchen cabinets similar to this out of three quarter inch plywood with wood face frames(not sure what kind of wood yet) and am trying to figure out how to do the sliding doors (see photo) a href="http://www.greenteadesign.com/reproductions/kitchen-islands/5-drawer-kitchen-island.html" rel="nofollow"http://www.greenteadesign.com/reproducti…/a without hardware what I was considering was taking unfinished wood flooring in the wood I go with that is a tongue and groove style and using a male end for top and bottom of cabinet door and a female for matching top and bottom on cabinet would put two female tracks on one in front of the other so when slid all the doors could slide to one side but take up half the space, I would use oil as a finish, and make the male counterpart a little bit smaller with sand paper so that it would slide well and also not wiggle too much though so does this sound like a sound plan? my kitchen will have lots of ventilation so I dont think the wood will warp at all or swell too much in summer
