I am TTC could I be pregnant?

My last Period was April 7th and I was suppose to start yesterday for this month. I took a HPT on Thursday the 5th and it was Negative. I have period symtoms like headache,tender sore ,abdominal pain... Could I be prgnant? When should I retest!?
