Surgery for cyst on ovary while pregnant?

My sister had to have a cyst removed from her fallopian tube when she was 16 weeks pregnant or else she might of died, because her fallopian tube was about to burst. Her baby made it through the surgery just fine. I know this is a hard decision, but if you don't get it removed what could happen is not only your babies life will be in danger but yours possible could be too.
