Switching Colleges..?

I am currently in the process of becoming an elementary school teacher. I go to college in Florida. I am about 75% finished with my AA with a 3.7 GPA, and I am going to obtain my Bachelor's in Education. Due to unplanned cirstances, I need to move back home to Colorado as soon as possible. If I transfer schools, do my credits come with me? Or does this vary by school? I just don't want to do anything that will jepordize what I have worked so hard to obtain.
