They said it went up there pretty good and still was climbing fairly good, at light weight of course. So, how high do you think a 4 or 5 would go? What kind of mach #'s would it make up there? How do I reinstall Windows XP without erasing my installed programs?

My Dell Dimension 8400 running Windows XP is not allowing some programs (previously active) to open. This includes some of the Windows native programming. I will get messages like ".... is not a valid Windows image" and "ordinal ... could not be located in the dynamic link library ....". The Microsoft support site was not much help. I believe I need to reinstall Windows XP, as even the "restore" function will not open. Is it possible to perform a reinstall without erasing all the programs I have already installed on my hard drive? I do have all the proper discs for reinstallations, but didn't want to have to go through the exercise if not needed. Please don't scold me about not having a full backup, as I have already done that extensively myself (external backup drive is on the way from Amazon)! Any help will be very much appreciated.

Dogs very sick after taking them to the Beach, I'm so Worried!!?

We took our two dogs, 1yr pitt bull and 6month german sheppard to the beach earlier today. They ate breakfast and a few hrs later we took the 45 min ride to the beach. They had lots of fun chasing waves and swimming. It's the gulf of mexico so its salt water and I wasn't worried when they threw up the water shortly after swimming. But it hasn't stopped, and I have never seen diarrhea like this before (think exorcist out the other end) It was a miserable ride home with both of them puking. We gave them plenty of fresh water no food and baths and they are still sick. The sheppard is better but my pit seems very lethargic, not just tired. I tried giving him pepto bismol but I feel horrible forcing him, he hates the taste and cringes at the smell. I don't know what to do the vet isn't open until monday. Is there anything I can do, or am I just over reacting?

First let me say I do not believe that my grandfather killed her. He is currently in a state prison waiting trial. He was in a coma for three months due tithe severity of his head wound. Several doctors have said that his injuries could not be self inflicted, that he appeared to have been beaten. My grandfather would never harm anyone let alone my grandmother.There are a whole lot of other sordid details missing money and property ect. My grandparents meant the world to me, I saw them once a month if not more often. I spent whole summers with them and my grandfather was my hero. This whole situation is almost more then I can bear. The reason for writting this is that I work in a very high stress job. I am a supervisor at residential program for troubled teens and lately I feel as if I am going to snap. When I was younger we only adopted pets and they came and went as my mother did'nt want to train but wanted a perfect family dog that would work.I don't think we had an overpopulation at the that time as we would see a few dogs in each shelter as many went off to be put down.They doid'nt have rescue groups and no kill shelters then so it remained far and few between that you would visit a shelter on a long drive on the weekend..Today with so many people and as with their spending habits and credit card use is easy to say Charge that puppy with no thought on the character or the means to take care of it.When they tire of the cuteness it ends up in a shelter without a thought.People today have more than 1 dog as 3 seems to be the minimum today.So today with job losses and forclosure these many pets end up in shelters.I think today people are made more aware of the conditions of puppy mills and shelter dogs than when I was a kid.We never heard those words.So I wish people today would sstart teaching their children the Value of pet ownership and it should be taught in schools the horrors that go on at Puppy Mills and then and only then can we shut these places down..

Can I tile up to but not under the sink vanity in my bathroom if it has a layer of plywood underneath it?

My bathroom floor is concrete. I bought some interlocking stone tiles (www.stratastone.com). My dad and I installed a cabinet type sink vanity from Lowes, but put a layer of plywood underneath it first, before I had a floor to put down. We painted the exposed edges of the plywood. Should I remove the plywood and tile underneath the vanity, or can I tile up to the vanity so the tiles will directly touch the plywood base underneath it? My concern is that if water gets on the floor (for instance when my son goes crazy in the tub, or if I ever have a water leak, etc.) would that water seep between the tiles and the plywood and cause irreparable damage? Or would a line of caulk prevent that?

Asthma - question about medication?

I've had asthma my whole life and am used to my near constant attacks. I am on two preventers and still need to take Ventolin at least three times a week. I'm a little worried about the constant medication, does anyone know if there are any side effects to using asthma preventers? I don't like using Prednisone as much as I'm having to either... Also does anyone have any pros/cons of using a nebuliser? I prefer to use my nebuliser when I'm at home because I find that it works a lot better than my inhaler with a spacer. My doctor is unconvinced saying it should be of equal or lesser effect. I'd appreciate any answers.

Is my puppy too attached to me or really sick?

Work is slow and I feel guilty..?

I am self employed and work is slow and I get home wayyy to early (in my opinion) 5hr days are like half days. I feel guilty, my wife works, and yes I have employees. But if I lay them off, what happens when I get busy? Should I feel guilty? The dollars are minimal for paying everyone, but I run a tight ship, except for one guy who is basically a foreman (type) who gets a salary every week. So for him its good when we are slow..because he gets paid weather he works 20 or 40 hrs per week. He;s been on salary for over 5yrs and I dont know how to break him off it? Example, If we only work 5hrs one day, and 3 the next he would get 1 day salary and any off days he just will not get paid. Pay per day (Example- every day we work over 5 hrs you get your $100) for that day. I just feel I get screwed with salary now that things are slow- and I hate to let my hourly guys go. Only the people who have never used it demonize weed and they have no idea of what they are saying. I'm fifty four, have smoked weed for thirty five years, own a business, pay taxes and work five, sometimes six days a week. My memory is better than most people I know, my spelling and grammar are fine and my ability to communicate serves me well enough to get my point across. I thought this issue would have been put to rest years ago. I do not consider myself a criminal for using pot, I consider my government intolerant for not giving me a choice of which substance I want to use to change my every day reality. Why should I be punished for choosing to smoke instead of drinking alcohol, which I never do. Let the government control who grows it, we can then have quality control, and tax it just like alcohol. Gymnastics is so much fun! You'll love it! I'm a level 10 gymnast, and I've only been doing gymnastics for 5 years now. I would wear your dance leo- but not the tights like others have suggested. Don't worry about embaring yourself, it happens. No one is going to make fun of you. Also, to succeed it just takes hard work. You have to give it 110%, no matter what. As long as you are a hardworking and persistent, people will look up to you. Also, it will help if during the summer you go away to gymnastics camp. I have done a signature in photoshop, i then added the social media links in dreamweaver (hotspot tool). It works fine in outlook 2003, but won't appear with the links if done in 2007. i'm from a small town and the vet i take my pets to isn't very popular and so they don't see as many pets as most but i feel like they totally don't care. i have an 11 year old border collie that has seen them her whole life and every month for 2 years when she was younger and they never remember her. infact they had it written on her chart that she was a lab mix. they looked at my husky/timber wolf mix and wrote down that he was a sheppard and they had no record of my cat who has seen them 4 times! in addition they have record of pets on my file that i never owned and they never give my after care instructions for anything and today was the first day they weighed any of my pets and its because i asked them to. my dog went in for a check up and they didn't even listen to his heart. it seems odd to me and i want to switch vets but i wan't to know if all vets are like this or just mine.

Fish infection/disease? PLEASE HELP!!!!! Wat is it, and wat is the most humain thing to do?!?!?!?!?!?

Ok first i got these two new fish, and for like two weeks every one was fine. Then this one fish started nipping the others, and he started to get one of my original fish to start doing it too. The first nipper died. Then, the second nipper nipped two of my other fish until they had red spotts all over, and at the bases of their fins. And one of the nipping victoms started getting this white stuff hanging off his tail fin, like he was loosing the "membrane" off of his fins. Then i got a divider to stop the nipping, but the nipper just jumped over it, so i took it out. And now my fish are acting all strange. Like they will lay very still at the bottom of the tank, and when i lift up the lid to feed them only one has enough strenght (another trys but just cant) to come up to the top to feed, the others just wiat for the food to sink, and lastly today when i came home they ALL had that white stuff comming off of them. I think they are dying. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

How can I get out of the habit of holding on to the saddle horn?

I ride western and I used to always be able to go into the gallop confidently and having full control and not have to hold on to the saddle horn. But I had a really bad fall a couple months ago and now when I go into a gallop or even a trot I fell like I'm going to fall off so I guess the saddle horn is my source of confort. What can I do? My sister had to have a cyst removed from her fallopian tube when she was 16 weeks pregnant or else she might of died, because her fallopian tube was about to burst. Her baby made it through the surgery just fine. I know this is a hard decision, but if you don't get it removed what could happen is not only your babies life will be in danger but yours possible could be too.
